Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website operated by VBS Flooring Company (“we”, “us”, or “our”) and the services we provide. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Services

VBS Flooring Company provides flooring installation, repair, and maintenance services for residential and commercial properties in Dublin, Ireland, and surrounding areas. Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Flooring installation (hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, carpet)
  • Flooring repairs and restoration
  • Floor maintenance and cleaning
  • Consultation and quotation services

Quotations and Pricing

  1. All quotations provided by VBS Flooring Company are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated.
  2. Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
  3. Quotations are based on the information provided by you at the time of inquiry. Any changes to requirements may result in price adjustments.
  4. We reserve the right to amend our prices at any time, but changes will not affect confirmed orders.

Booking and Payment

  1. To book our services, you must provide accurate and complete information.
  2. A deposit of 30% of the total project cost is required to confirm a booking, with the balance due upon completion of the work, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
  3. We accept payment via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or other methods as agreed.
  4. Late payments may incur interest charges at the rate of 8% above the European Central Bank base rate.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

  1. If you wish to cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking, you must notify us at least 48 hours in advance.
  2. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled service may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the deposit amount.
  3. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to severe weather conditions, illness, or material shortages.

Warranties and Guarantees

  1. We provide a 12-month workmanship guarantee on all installation services, subject to proper maintenance and usage.
  2. Manufacturer warranties apply to all products and materials we supply.
  3. Our guarantees do not cover damage caused by improper use, accidents, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow care instructions.
  4. To claim under our workmanship guarantee, please contact us with details of the issue.

Your Responsibilities

  1. You must ensure the work area is accessible and clear of obstructions before our arrival.
  2. You must inform us of any relevant issues that may affect the work, such as uneven subfloors, damp issues, or underfloor heating.
  3. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions, permits, or consents required for the work.
  4. You must inspect the completed work and report any concerns within 7 days of completion.

Intellectual Property

  1. All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of VBS Flooring Company or our content suppliers and is protected by copyright laws.
  2. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our express written consent.

Limitation of Liability

  1. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of our services or website.
  2. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
  3. We are not liable for delays or failures resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VBS Flooring Company, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your use of our services.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.
